Petit Verdot is usually considered to come from the Gironde in south-west France. First mentioned in 1736. It has played a prominent role in many great Bordeaux wines since then.
Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques this wine is powerful, rich, deeply coloured with a smooth finish and soft tannins. It shows dark plum and is full-bodied with floral notes and will continue to age well.
